COVID-19 Instructions for Sunwest Dental

Dear Patients,

With the opening of all dental services in phase 2 of BC’s restart program, we request the following of our patients to help limit the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

  • Our waiting area will be CLOSED and door will be kept locked. Please call us at 604-588-5491 when you arrive and wait in your car or outside the building and we will phone you once ready for your arrival. We encourage you to wear your own
    mask for your visit.

  • We will be sending you a pre-screening questionnaire 15 minutes before your appointment via text or email for you to answer in your car before your appointment and review your Medical history/ Screening questions again in the office. If you have not received the COVID-19 screening once you have arrived please call the office and we will resend it .This is a requirement to minimize the risk of COVID-19 community spread.

  • When you arrive at to the dental office please wear your mask and sanitize your hands as soon as you enter. We will then review your health history and check your temperature with a no touch thermometer.

  • You will notice Plexiglass barriers at the reception desk, please stand behind those designated areas for everyone’s safety.

  • While walking to the clinic or inside the clinic, please maintain social distancing (approx. 6 feet) from others or have a mask on. Also follow any signs posted in our office.

  • You will also notice us wearing additional PPE (masks, gowns, face shields etc). This is all to enhance the safety of our team and patients.

  • We will also be doing additional dis-infecting and sanitizing of all public areas of the office multiple times a day.

  • We will be limiting the number of patients that are seen at any point in time to ensure safe social distancing. We will also be ensuring there is enough time to clean and sanitize the office between patients, for the safety of all.
